Here we GROW again!

So we just found out that we are expecting our third bundle of joy!  It has been slightly surprising, but we are completely excited.  I have been totally exhausted (hence the lack of blogging, SO SORRY!!) and riding the nausea roller-coaster.  Holding onto the hope that I know only too soon it will all be over and there will be another cute little face to look at.  This latest news has only fueled my savings ventures even more, as you can imagine!

DIAPERS DIAPERS DIAPERS!

I just scored a pack of 100 Pampers diapers for FREE! Yes, FREE! Here's how I did it. You will first need to sign up for Amazon Mom, if you haven't done so already.  You can sign-up or find out more information HERE.  Amazon Mom will give you greater discounts, as well as free 2 day shipping on eligible purchases.

I then found a pack of diapers for right under $30 (Pampers $29.05).  Using two different Amazon codes from Parents magazine ($10 off) and from American Baby magazine ( 20% off). Make sure to check your magazines for these coupons. There are often free offers for these magazines, or sometimes your doctor's office will have extra's or you can buy them in the store. Watch for a bright green postcard size ad stuck in the magazines, like this:
Pic thanks to The Frugal Girl

I have also heard you can stack (2) 20% off coupons if that is all you can find, but the first two letters/numbers in the code must be different in order to do so.

The other thing I took advantage of was the Subscribe and Save option which takes 30% off also.  You can cancel this at anytime after your order ships.  Since subscribing  with Amazon Mom look for Prime eligible shipments, and you receive 2 day free shipping with that.

So here is what it looked like:

Item(s) Subtotal: $29.05
Shipping & Handling: $0.00
Promotion Applied: -$5.81
Promotion Applied: -$10.00
Promotion Applied: -$8.72
  -----
Total Before Tax: $4.52
Sales Tax: $0.39
Gift Certificate/Card Amount: $4.91
  -----
Total for This Shipment: $0.00
Total paid by Gift Certificate/Card: $4.91

To pay for the grand total I was able to use my $5 Amazon.com gift card collected from Swagbucks.  If you haven't started using Swagbucks, I would highly suggest you do.  You get "swagbucks" for just searching the internet like you do normally.  If you are interested in signing up go HERE.  If you have any questions PLEASE DON'T HESITATE TO ASK!!

Full Circle Farms organic produce pick-up or home delivery!

I have recently discovered the company/website Full Circle Farms. I think this is SUCH a great site!  I am going to be setting up our subscription for pick-up A.S.A.P. Basically they offer a weekly, bi-weekly (every other week) pick-up,or home delivery (if that's available) for organic produce.  They offer two different sizes of subscriptions; a standard size ($32 a week for pick-up) which says it feeds 2 adults with enough to feed one small child.  As well as a family size subscription ($41 a week for pickup) that can feed a family of four comfortably.  These fruits and vegetables are all organic and locally grown.  If you want to find out more just visit their website HERE, and see the pick-up or delivery options for your area.

Durex Houseparty.com Girl's Night Party

Thanks to Houseparty.com and Durex, I was able to throw a very swanky Girl's Night.  It was a fun evening complete with drinks, yummy food, great conversation, a trivia game, and of course lots of photo memories!  If you don't know what houseparty.com is yet I suggest you check it out.

In short, its a site that promotes products through sponsoring your party.  After you sign-up for houseparty.com you can apply to host numerous different parties, and you will be notified if you were selected.  If you are selected your party pack is Fed-ex'd to you, with whatever goodies that sponsor has decided on.  For my Durex party I received loves boxes, condoms, massagers, lubricants, drink koozies, conversation hearts, a poster, and the trivia game.  Plus it was ALL FREE!

Dinner was quite scrumptious if I do say so myself.  We enjoyed Chicken Tortellini salad, with garlic breadsticks, and a green salad.  I also tried a jello drink to go with it which was a Strawberry Breezer Mousse-tini here is the recipe:

Prep time: 10 minutes (plus refrigerating)

2 pkg. (4 serving size each) JELL-O Brand Strawberry Daiquiri Flavor gelatin
2-1/2 cups boiling water
1 LARGE tub (16 oz) or (two small 8 oz) COOL WHIP Whipped Topping, thawed
1/2 cup of light rum
1 tbsp lime juice

Spread 1 pkg of gelatin evenly onto a large plate.  Dip rims of eight 6-oz. dessert glasses in water, then in dry gelatin powder; set aside until ready to use.  Pour unused gelatin on plate into medium bowl .  Add remaining package of gelatin.  Gradually add boiling water, stirring at least 2 min with wire whisk until gelatin is completely dissolved.   Add whipped topping; stir; until whipped topping is completely melted and mixture is well blended.  Stir in rum and lime juice.

Pour into prepared glasses.

Refrigerate 2 hours or until firm.  Store leftovers in the refrigerator.

Makes 8 servings, about 1/2 cup each.

Non-alcoholic:  Prepare as directed, omitting rum and increasing boiling water to 3 cups.

Garnish with lime twists, or strawberries! Enjoy!!!

Happy Love Day!

"Love is a temporary madness. It erupts like an earthquake and then subsides. And when it subsides you have to make a decision. You have to work out whether your roots have become so entwined together that it is inconceivable that you should ever part. Because this is what love is. Love is not breathlessness, it is not excitement, it is not the promulgation of promises of eternal passion. That is just being "in love" which any of us can convince ourselves we are. Love itself is what is left over when being in love has burned away, and this is both an art and a fortunate accident. Your mother and I had it, we had roots that grew towards each other underground, and when all the pretty blossoms had fallen from our branches we found that we were one tree and not two."
-St. Augustine
